At Trilogy, we have multiple options for students who would like to get started learning about horses and riding!
Our beginner trainers are very passionate about creating a fun learning environment for their students. By incorporating more than just riding in our programs, our students gain even more horsemanship knowledge as well as transferable skills that they can use in everyday life!
Whether your student has already caught the horse crazy bug or is just a bit curious about what goes on at the farm, we have opportunities available to allow their passions to blossom.
During this semester long course, students will learn the basics of all things horses!
This includes an introduction to:
This program is designed for students ages 7 and up who are just starting their horsemanship journey or who would like to see if horseback riding is something they would enjoy. Ages 4-6 can start off in our private lesson program (more info below). Students that are 6 y/o and would like to be considered for the Intro to Horses program can do an evaluation lesson to determine if a group setting would be a good fit.
Our goal is to give students an opportunity to gain a basic understanding and appreciation for the sport through fun horse related activities that not only help them learn about horses and riding, but also help to foster independence, self-confidence, and caring for others, which help our riders outside of the barn as well!
The class will meet weekly at your assigned day/time for their riding lessons. Riding lessons will be in small groups of max 6 students led by two instructors. (If your student needs more one-on-one help to get started riding, we also have private lessons available). Tuition for the course is $360/month. This includes 4 riding lessons and 1 horsemanship class per month.
Riding lessons will include mounted and unmounted learning. These classes are 90 minutes. Students will work together to groom and tack up. Then the group will be split, with half riding and half doing ground lessons then they will swap. Riding time increases throughout the course as students develop their skills grooming and tacking up quicker.
On Saturday mornings, the students will have their horsemanship sessions as a larger group. This will be an opportunity to make more friends as well as learn about horse care and handling! One Saturday horsemanship class per month is included in the tuition. If your student is interested in joining in on the fun for more than one Saturday per month, they are welcome to add additional horsemanship classes for $20/class.
Riding lesson days will also have horse care topics being taught and practiced, but the Saturday morning horsemanship days will be when they really get into the nitty gritty of horse care including:
Feel free to reach out to us with any questions about our programs and which one would be a great fit for your future equestrian.
Our intro to horses course is a great starting point for any beginner rider.
If your student already has experience riding and has moved past trotting, our Horsemasters Club may be a better fit!

This class will be running all through fall semester.
If you are joining after the start of the class no worries! This program allows students to learn at their own pace and there will be opportunities for additional classes to get caught up if needed.
How to get started:
What is our Levels Program?
Our Horsemasters Club is organized by a series of levels based on specific learning objectives and skills. Each level has goals and skill assessments, keeping students motivated and excited for their progression in the sport. Once each level is completed, students will graduate and move into the next set of courses. We take our riders through a custom program, building their skills both in the saddle, as well as on the ground.
Our goal in our Horsemasters Program is to bring young equestrians from beginner to intermediate riding levels, while also introducing them to horsemanship topics that expand way past basic grooming to give them a well-rounded education in all things horses!
How does it work?
Students will first complete an evaluation lesson with one of our beginner trainers. This is an opportunity to meet our trainers, see the farm, ask any questions you may have, and assess where the best fit for your student would be within the program.
After an evaluation lesson, riders will be placed in a group or private lesson based on experience, age, and availability. If placed in a private lesson to start, once students are at a level where they would be comfortable riding as a group, they can join a group lesson time.
Students will meet weekly at their lesson time. In addition to their mounted class, we have our Saturday morning Horsemanship classes! One Saturday class per month is already included in your tuition, but if your student would like to join more than one/month they are welcome to! Additional horsemanship classes are $20/class.
